A year ago....

A year ago we were celebrating my brother's wedding and had no idea what the next year would hold. We were given the gift of Nathaniel. It has only been three months since his birth and I could not imagine not having him in my life. He is the sweetest little boy. He loves to sleep- let's keep our fingers crossed that this continues... He wakes with a smile on his face most mornings. He is drooling and chewing on his hands and fingers. He laughs when you "chew" on his hand. He has such a sense of humor! He likes to sing to the radio in the car and in church. He has enjoyed swimming this summer with his sister- he loves the water. Nathaniel's eyes are turning from a dark blue to a brownish/ silver....They are quit unusual. If he had his way, he would already be sitting up and running around the house. This will happen soon enough.

We are enjoying our summer off and have been acquiring "stuff" for the house. David got his stainless steel grill and outdoor misting system (it is so hot here that David could not grill out without it.) We also got a dining room table!!!! We have been looking for at least 6 months and could not find the right one. Then one day we walk through Sam's club and there it is..... Within 24 hours of it being home, it has 2 scratches on it from Kate and the cat. Oh well, that's life with kids...
